People Against the Suffering of Succotash

People Against the Suffering of Succotash (PASS) adhere to the idea that it is cruel to combine certain vegetables together: Lima beans and corn, for example, have a history of distrust and therefore despise being put together into a single dish.

Thus, if, when dining, a PASS member is asked "would you like some succotash?", they will invariably reply "No, I'm PASS". Unfortunately most members have a slight lisp and therefore slur the phrase into "No, I'll PASS" and so this latter statement, rather than the former, has become their official motto.

The group receives a great deal of public and financial support from Mothers for the Segregation of Vegetables, while simultaneously taking heavy criticism from the National Association for the Advancement of Corn Produce who believe strongly that corn should have the right to be in any dish that lima beans are in.

PASS's relatively popularity has inspired several members of the NAACP to sponsor a counter-movement called People Inviting the Suffering of Succotash or Other Finicky Foods or PISS-OFF.
