The Good Citizen Act

The Good Citizen Act is a law aimed at evolving more sensible people through the introduction of artificial pressures. Sadly, the legislature that passed the Act failed to meet the mediocre level of sensibility they desired from humanity and therefore ratified a law expediting the end of rational people.

The outline of the Act is given in Table 1, where it becomes increasingly clear that the legislatures failed to even glance at the document they signed into law.

In §3 the Good Citizen Act defines truth: "Truth is legally defined as that which an unreasonable person would believe". This definition has been termed the "Unreasonable Person Test" and is the major legal force wreaking havoc on sensible citizens.

In §6 the Act establishes the Reasonable Action Authority to which citizens could report individuals who do things such as fail to move out of the way when someone was trying to get through a small passage, or clump into groups and then randomly stop in the middle of a passageway thus blocking any other person from getting through, etc. Too many reported and verifiable infringements will lead to an automatic Competent Human Evaluation. Failure to sufficiently satisfy the Minimal Human Competency set forth in §5 results in removal from society.

At least, that is what §6 is purported to accomplish. Instead it establishes the Reasonable Action Authority to "act as a body for citizens to retort imbeciles who flail the basic requirements inclusive".

Fascinatingly, §12 includes a treatise on the Act's author's mental capacity and surmises there is high probability this individual recently underwent a frontal lobotomy.
