Unintelligible Design

The Theory of Unintelligible Design states that it is highly improbable that the universe exists as it is by pure chance—there must have been some Creator; however, the Creation, while certainly by Design, makes absolutely no sense: nothing is consistent and no purpose is decipherable.

Some say that the Design is simply beyond human comprehension, while others maintain that it is merely too complicated to be understood by mankind.

One sect of the most ardent subscribers to this theory assert that the purpose of the creation was intentionally hidden by the Creator so that it could not be exploited by a malicious user—positing that the Creator was guided in the design by the Malicious User Model or something very much like it.

Yet other fundamentalist sects proclaim that the Creator obfuscated the purpose in an attempt to help the created by hurting them—clearly the Creator foresaw that a universe dead set against humans would inspire them to achieve greatness. These factions have therefore embraced and extended the Misanthropic Principle to be a purposeful axiom set forth by an apparently vindicative Creator rather than, as they say, "the absurd belief that it is a whimiscal result of arbitrary physical parameters".

These varied stances have not, however, stopped the various groups from banding together to advance the teaching of their views in all public arenas (especially those dedicated to educating the youth)—though each successful attempt in procuring speaking time never accomplishes much due to each group constantly "correcting" the material as it is being presented.
